Linear TV makes its audience passive. The production team wanted to convert millions of viewers into active participants in real-time during the live broadcast — without latency, infrastructure collapse, or sync drift between TV and mobile.

approach

We built a high-concurrency mobile application synchronized with the live broadcast via WebSockets and an event-driven backend. Hundreds of thousands of concurrent users answer trivia questions in real-time with sub-second latency, climbing leaderboards as the show airs.

outcomes

220,000+ active users. Peak 50,000+ concurrent during live airings. Held #1 Trivia App ranking on the Turkish App Store throughout the show's run.
